Get the right care

Not sure of the type of care you need?

Whenever you're unsure about the care you need – unless you have an emergency – call 1-888-277-3832 or 1-920-496-4700. Our free nurse line can help guide you to the most appropriate treatment.

Prevea360's triage phone services are only available to residents of Wisconsin due to licensing regulations.

Most often, your primary care provider (PCP) should be your first choice for care — because he/she is familiar with your medical history.

When a more immediate need arises, however, you do have other options. See how you can make the right choice when it comes to your need for care, ensuring that you receive the right care in the right place at the right cost.

Virtual care

$ the lowest-cost option

You can get care from the comfort of your own home. In 60 minutes or less during regular business hours, you can reach a trusted provider when you need them most. You will get a diagnosis, treatment plan and any needed prescriptions. Virtual care is available to members through age 75. To ensure members receive the highest quality of care, those age 76 and above should be seen at a clinic or doctor's office. Try virtual care for:
  • coronavirus (COVID-19)
  • upper respiratory infections
  • urinary tract infections
  • lice
  • yeast infections
  • pink eye/conjunctivitis
  • acid reflux/GERD
  • and more

In person options

Urgent care
If you go to an urgent care, your medical problems are treated sooner than a scheduled office visit, but higher copays are possible. Find an urgent care site by visiting the provider directory.

  • most broken bones
  • bruises or sprains
  • minor cuts

Emergency care

$$$$ the high-cost option

Seek emergency care for:
  • choking
  • trouble breathing
  • serious broken bones
  • unconsciousness
  • severe or unusual bleeding
  • suspected poisoning
  • suspected heart attack or stroke
  • severe pain
  • prolonged or repeated seizures
  • convulsions
